The Recovery Toolkit

The Recovery Toolkit is a structured, trauma-informed programme designed to support survivors of domestic abuse as they rebuild their lives. Typically delivered over a number of weeks, the toolkit provides a safe, supportive space where participants can reflect on their experiences, regain confidence, and begin the healing process.

Understand the dynamics of abuse

One of the key benefits of the Recovery Toolkit is that it helps survivors understand the dynamics of abuse and recognise how it may have affected their self-worth, boundaries, and relationships. Through guided sessions, they learn about healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, and how to rebuild a sense of identity and control.

Group-based delivery often fosters a strong sense of peer support and connection, reducing the isolation many survivors feel. The toolkit also equips participants with practical tools for setting boundaries, improving communication, and making empowered choices moving forward.

Shift Your Point of View

Crucially, the Recovery Toolkit helps survivors shift from seeing themselves as victims to becoming empowered and proactive in their own recovery. It’s not just about surviving — it’s about thriving beyond abuse, with renewed strength, self-awareness, and hope for the future.
