About

We have set ourselves the challenge of cycling over 680 miles across France and to fundraise for domestic abuse charity Voices.  We’re new to bike touring and have been training for this challenge since September 2022. You can donate here: https://localgiving.org/fundraising/lostinfrance/

We hope our fundraiser will help start a conversation around domestic abuse and raise vital funds for the Bath-based charity which provides 1-2-1 help, peer support and recovery programmes for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

“In the year up to March 2022, there were more than 1.5 million domestic abuse-related incidents and crimes in England and Wales. We hope that the money we raise will be used towards assisting victims of domestic abuse,” says Hannah.

“I volunteered for Voices last year and was impressed by how the charity provides both personalised support for individuals affected by abuse and campaigns at a national level; involving clients and sharing their experiences to improve services and influence policy,” says Tamsin.

After an overnight ferry hop from Portsmouth, we will pedal from St Malo on the north coast of France down through the Loire, Aquitaine and the Dordogne to the Med and tackle some daunting ascents along the way. We plan to complete the tour in 16 days, starting on 28 May and arriving in Palavas-les-Flots, 10km south of Montpellier on 13 June.
