Ten years after VOICES’ founders set up a community group in Bath, the charity was delighted to host a visit by HRH the Duchess of Cornwall, to meet founders, staff, trustees and clients. The Duchess learned about our support services and survivor consultation work, and praised VOICES and other specialist organisations as “lifelines” for people affected by Domestic Abuse. She continues to be a staunch advocate for the rights of women and girls to live free from fear and abuse, and emphasises that Domestic Abuse is a whole community problem, which can only be solved be everyone working together. The event also gave us an opportunity to thank supporters of our charity, including St John’s Foundation, the National Lottery and Quartet Community Foundation, as well as to welcome increased local partnership working in 2022 with Sarsas (Somerset & Avon Rape & Sexual Abuse Support) and others.
